Crocs

So somehow I came across this funny article on newsweek.com about crocs. I apologize if I offend anyone (I really don't mean to). I'm definitely not a fashion queen by any means, but luckily I never got into the crocs revolution. This article is pretty funny and in it there are some other pretty funny sites where people rant and rave about crocs:

I think it's hilarious how big of an effect these silly shoes have on people. And also extremely interesting how something so seemingly unfashionable and unattractive could become so popular. Anyway, here is a funny "dorcs" commercial that made me laugh.

Yellowstone!

Dan and I went up to Island Park, Idaho this week with his family. We camped near Yellowstone and we had a ton of fun. The whole family was there (at different times) and we had a blast. This is everyone at the ice cream place. Our family took up the whole bar. :)
Katelyn and Alex eating watermelon.
This isn't a great picture, but it's a panoramic shot of everyone sitting around. There were a lot of us.

Some of the cute kids sitting on the hammock. Jeremy, Brigham, Alex, Katelyn and Emily.
Don't know why we're doing this...cute though right?
Dan and I went canoeing on the river. It was really beautiful and fun even though we didn't really see much wildlife.
This is one of our 4 tables at the pizza place where we had lunch. Yum!
Here I am reading to the kids in one of the souvenir shops. We found this great kids book called "Who pooped in the park?" It was so funny and talked about a family vacation to Yellowstone. They're so cute!

Some pictures at the hot springs in Yellowstone. There was a bear wandering around right before we showed up so we followed the Park Ranger around for awhile hoping to see the bear, but no luck. Bummer.

The boys chillin on the grass when we stopped for lunch.

Cute pics of me and Dan.

Rob, Cynthia and Sam starting to canoe down the river.
Me and Addie with our sweet shades. She wasn't as excited about it as I was.
It seemed like we were always either holding the hand of one of the kids or holding one of the kids! I loved it.
Sam had some sort of reaction to a mosquito bite near her eye and it swelled up really bad.

Here is our cute little tent that we got for our wedding. It was great.

Dan was playing with Wellyn on the hammock and it was so cute to watch Wellyn squeal every time Dan tickled him.

Kitchen Chairs!

Who knew that kitchen chairs could make a girl so happy? Not me. Anyway, we haven't had kitchen chairs for the past 2 months. We've been using a desk chair and a camp chair. Very nice. We got a nice table from my mom and just haven't bought chairs yet. We finally found some last night! They're so dang cute and I just love them. My mom wanted to see some pics so I figured I'd post them and some apartment pics up here!

Cute little chairs. I love them. :) Here is the office, where I sit most of the day.

So you think you can dance is coming to Utah!

I absolutely love the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance". It's basically like American Idol for dancing and I can't get enough of it. I have loved to dance my entire life and this show is amazing. I have watched it for 3 seasons now and I can't get enough. At the end of the show, the top 10 dancers go on a tour across the U.S. to perform. Last year, I went with a bunch of friends down to Reno, NV to watch the show! It was awesome and a ton of fun. It was crazy though because we went right before finals and it was a really long drive and my car broke down. :) Not so good. But I just found that this year the tour is coming to Utah! They are performing at the E Center on September 23! YEAAHHH! I'm so excited and I can't wait to get tickets! I just wanted to blog about it because I'm so happy about the whole thing. Hurrah for SYTYCD.
Here are a few of my fave dances so far this season:

Boating

We went to Rockport Resevoir on Saturday to go boating with Danny's family. It was a blast! It was about an hour and a half from Logan and we just met the family up there on Saturday morning then drove back to Logan Saturday evening. The weather was perfect and the water was really warm! We went wakeboarding, tubing and played on the water weenie! It was a great day and so much fun!

Miss Universe Pageant

So I just had to write something about this. We were watching the Miss Universe Pageant last night. Miss USA made it to the top 10 and she was doing the evening gown part and she came out and biffed it! She fell right on her butt. It was really sad but really funny. It was just one of those things that you don't expect at all and after it happened, we couldn't stop laughing. So here is the video of Miss USA falling:

So when I was looking for that video, I discovered that THE SAME THING HAPPENED LAST YEAR! No joke. Miss USA fell in the Miss Universe pageant during the evening gown competition! Can you believe it?! What are the odds? That is just outrageous to me and so hilariously awesome. Here is the video from last year:

Independence Day!

We went down to West Jordan for the 4th of July and it was really a great weekend. Thursday night we met Danny's family and went to the Real Salt Lake game. It was a blast and even more exciting when a fight broke out and the fans went a little crazy! We got to go on the field and watch fireworks afterwards. Then we stayed at Danny's parents' house on Thursday with about 15 other people which made for a very exciting evening. :) Friday we went with Danny's extended family (about a million of them) up to Millcreek Canyon to have breakfast. It was a blast and a lot of fun with all the kids and people running around. We went swimming Friday afternoon and then went to dinner and fireworks with my parents on Friday night. It was a great holiday!Dan and I at the Real Salt Lake game
Me holding the newest baby in the family-Taylor Hill. He's so precious!

Joseph, Katelyn and Danny chillin' in camp chairs.
Me and Sarah, so cute.
I'm so lucky to have so many darling nieces and nephews! Lissie, Katelyn, Emmy and Alex.
Danny and I with Addy in the corner! Some of the family went on a hike, but I stayed to relax and play with the kids. Here is Jon smoking a rock??? The side of the mountain was covered in vines or moss. Kinda pretty. Here we are at the West Jordan park before watching fireworks.
