Concrete jungle where dreams are made of....

Let's hear for New Yorkkkkk! (I love that song...especially the Glee version.) Dan and I are headed to New York in a few weeks and we can't wait. We're going to visit the Monsens (who live close by in CT) and enjoy some time sightseeing in the big city. Dan has never been before and I went once in high school, so we are pretty pumped. I can't wait to see Shelley Belly and Thaddy pants (and Brian too I guess...). We have lots of big plans, but almost nothing is set in stone, so we would appreciate any tips or advice. We are probably going to stay in the city on our last night so let me know if you have any advice, places you loved/hated/wish you could see. I know I want to hit up Canal Street, go to Rockefeller Plaza, and see the Statue of Liberty, and maybe a broadway show, but that's about all we've planned so far. This is an idea of how excited we are....pic from the day we found out we got our house.

Way fun! New York is awesome and there's so much to do. I love the Metropolitan Museum of Art the most. There is this cool thing called a New York City Pass where you can buy it online and it gives you tickets to a bunch of stuff. That's what we did and we loved it.

I. Seriously. Cannont. Wait. I am so stinking excited! I'm glad you and Dan are excited too:) I'm sorry I'm a bad friend for not downloading MSN yet. I'm going to. Tonight. I promise. Brian is going to put The Secret Life of Bees on my iPod for me, so I will have him show me then. I could probably do it myself, but I'm too lazy to read instructions and stuff. I'm not going to any museums, so if you want to go the the Met, count me out. I have discovered I dislike them and appreciate them in no way, shape or form. I want to go to the Museum of Natural History someday, but that is the only one I will consider. I would love to go to a show with you if we could work it in. We could go stand in line and try for lottery tickets to Wicked...that would be wicked!! ;-) I will come up with some fun ideas too. Cool. You are thebomb.com and I can't wait to see your beautiful face! (and Dan's too, i guess)

Oh and I love that song too. I listened to it today (the Jay-z version, of course) and it has been in my head all day...we are totally on the same wave length!!

Hays-do you remember the name of the hotel we stayed in? It was right in Time Square and so nice. Maybe you could check that out. I hope the "government" doesn't shut down cuz then you wouldn't be able to see the Statue of Liberty and I thought that was cool. Of course, I liked Ellis Island the best--and maybe you could see/go to the temple too. And Central Park was cool-with the Beatle thing (and Yoko!) I'd like to go inside the Chrysler Building (the pointy one that's always on TV). Oh, I wish so much that Dad and I could go back. Maybe sometime. You'll have a BLAST! Love you!
