Anniversary?

I kinda forgot to mention that we had our one year anniversary on the 20th...We've been so busy moving and all that, I didn't mention it. But we did celebrate quietly and had a great evening together. I could post a bajillion pictures of our engagement pics, wedding pics, and every fun thing we've done this year, but I won't. We have had a great year and I can't wait for all the years ahead. Every day is better than the next and I'm the luckiest girl in the world!!

Moving Day!

Well unfortunately I don't have any pictures to post because I'm at work doing this (shhh!) and I didn't even take pictures of us moving anyway! But we did move last night and it was very eventful, somewhat stressful, and extremely busy! But with the help of some great family and friends, we were able to get all our stuff out of our cute apartment in Logan and into our cute (but smaller) apartment in Riverdale. We will really miss Logan and I hope some day we can end up back in Cache Valley. Since I moved there 4 years ago, I have loved it (despite the nasty winters) and I am so sad to leave. Dan hated it when he first came and now he loves it more than I do! It's so beautiful there, and less busy, and we just love it! Logan is so safe and clean and the people are nice. We have some wonderful memories of Logan that we will never forget!

While moving, I really couldn't believe how much stuff we have acquired and even Danny was amazed. We crammed everything into the new place and went to bed and now I have the wonderful task of unpacking! YAY! My great mom is going to come help tomorrow while Dan helps his family paint their house. I feel very happy to have a great place to live, especially considering the nightmare that it was to find a place. It's cute, clean, in a good location, and the owners of the house (we're in the basement) are GREAT! It's also a good price and we only have to stay until the end of October! So hopefully we can find a great house and move again!!! Ugh. Anyway, once we get all settled and have our internet hooked up next week, I'll post some pictures of our new place! Anyone is welcome to visit anytime! And thanks again to everyone who helped us move! We love you guys!

Cali continued....

So these aren't in any particular order because blogger kind of sucks that way, but here are a few more pictures of our great trip. We also went to Newport Beach Temple, San Diego Temple, San Diego Zoo, and SeaWorld. The day we left. we were able to meet my sister and her friend at Venice Beach again and it was so fun! They were just getting there to go on a cruise, and we were just leaving, but we hung out most of the day and had a blast!

Good times in Cali!

Well I thought I would start these pictures off on an exciting note. These are a few great shots taken by our good friend Dustin Waite at Venice Beach, California. This was right next to the Muscle Beach area and this hunk just got done working out. Thanks Dust for saving the memories for us.My aunt, uncle, cousin, his wife and their son were also visiting Disneyland! It was so great to see them since we don't see them a lot and we were able to go on a bunch of rides and spend 2 evenings with them!

This is at California Adventure with Dustin and Kaley. They were actually on their honeymoon, but we're really good friends and they called us so we played most of the time with them! It was so much fun to go with another couple.

From naked people, to men selling marijuana, to massages for sell (sick...), to street performers, and everything else you can possibly think of!

If I can figure it out, I'll probably link to my entire folder on Picasa in case anyone cares. Julie Price did that and I liked looking through her fun pics from the cruise. Anyway, as I've already said, we had a super great time in Cali and we can't wait to plan our next adventure!

Tinfoil Dinners with the fam

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Mother's Day and my mom's birthday by making tinfoil dinners and going up the canyon. It was so much fun to spend time with the fam and eat yummy dinners! My mom was just glad that she didn't have to make them! We also roasted marshmallows. I know it's a little late, but I wanted to say that I really have a great mom. I couldn't ask for a better role model or friend. She has helped me in so many ways and she is truly my best friend. I can't imagine not having her in my life and I look up to her so much. She is an amazing woman and she has been through a lot but she never gives up and I admire her. I love you mama!

Busyness!!

Well we're back from an AWESOME trip to California and I've started my new job at Flying J. The trip was amazing and probably one of the best vacations I've ever had! Here is an overview of what we did:

-3 different beaches (Venice, Newport & Huntington)
-Disneyland
-California Adventure
-Hung out with our friends who were honeymooning
-Visited with my aunt, uncle, cousin, his wife and their son at Disneyland
-SeaWorld
-San Diego Zoo
-San Diego Temple
-Newport Temple
-Laguna Beach
-Spent a day with my sister at the beach while she was there before a cruise!

Whew I think that's about it! We had a total blast and it was hard to come back to reality. We got in really late Sunday night and I started work Monday morning! So far I'm really enjoying it there and it's funny because I'm the only woman and it's just a bunch of old guys! I mean that in a good way, but it's funny because I'm very out of place, but I don't mind it! They all golf and have kids and grandkids and it's just really funny that I'm in the middle of it at meetings and stuff. We went to lunch and it was 10 old guys and me! Funny. But I think I'm really going to enjoy it here and so far I love it!

I have tons of awesome pictures I want to post, but I haven't had time since I'm commuting to Ogden from Logan (we're moving next week yay!) and I'm going to bed really early! But I'll get the pictures up soon!

California Dreamin'

I just wanted to update with a quick post from California. We have been here since Sunday morning and we are having the best time! We have met up with our good friends Dustin and Kaley Waite who have been here on their honeymoon! Don't worry, they called us! And we're really glad they did because we've had a blast with them. We went to Newport Beach for awhile on Sunday when we got here, then Monday we were at Disneyland all day. Yesterday we drove to Venice Beach and laid out, played in the ocean and walked around the beach shops. We also saw muscle beach and it was really funny. Venice was really fun and interesting. In just a few short hours, we saw 2 topless women, a toothless guy working out at Muscle Beach in only a tiny American flag speedo, a girl getting "professional" photographs taken on the beach, some CRAZY people selling some interesting things (including marajuana) and a few other things I won't mention. Anyway, it was very entertaining and very fun. Today we went to California Adventure for most of the day and then Dan and I met up with my aunt, uncle, my cousin and his wife and their little boy. It was really fun to see them and we went on some rides then had dinner with them.

It has been such a fun trip and we're still not done! We keep saying that if we left now, we would be happy. But I'm so excited to go to Seaworld and San Diego Zoo. We are probably going to another beach tomorow and maybe to downtown L.A. or something. Then we'll spend Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday in San Deigo. We'll come home late Sunday night and I'll start my new job on Monday morning! Exciting!

Oh ya and we saw Stevie Wonder today as we were leaving Disneyland! It was great! Danny had seen him earlier when we were on a ride and he went to the bathroom, but he forgot his name, and then we saw him again when we were on the train at Disneyland! Pretty sweet!

Things are going great here, and the weather has been AWESOME! It's sunny every day and we have soaked up some good rays. It's not too hot, but it's very warm and we're loving it! It's probably still snowing in Logan haha! Anyway, I'll update again later with all our great pictures!
