The Roof

Saturday night Dan and I drove down to Salt Lake with his sister and brother-in-law to meet the family for dinner at The Roof. Dan's dad has been stake president for a long time and recetly got released. Every time he had a bishop get released, he would take them to The Roof for dinner. Now that he is released, we took him there as a family. We had a buffet and it was so delicious! We ate tons of food and we got to sit in this great room with a gorgeous view. It was a really fun evening. Some views from the room we ate in.

We're all sitting around this huge round table with beautiful views all around us.

Random pictures

Well I haven't posted for quite awhile and I apologize to all those who religiously check our blog (is that just me that does that??) Anyway, school started again so life got busier. Dan and I are both in school full time and we each work about 30 hours a week. So we don't have quite as much time to play and take pictures and I don't have as much time to blog. Tragic right? But here are some random pictures of what we've been doing the past few weeks. My parents came up for the USU vs. Utah football game. It was nice weather and a lot of fun to see them. Amazingly, USU scored first, but then went on to get slaughtered by the U. Oh well, The U was always my football team anyway.

We went rock climbing with Dan's family on Labor Day.

Here we are with Shelley and Brian cooking up some tinfoil dinners in the mountains. Yumma.

Tuesday night I drove down to Salt Lake with my friends for the So You Think You Can Dance concert tour! It was magnificent. We loved it and the dances were great. 3 of the dancers on the tour were from Utah too! I loved it!

Here are some not-so-high-quality videos of some of my favorite dances. The blonde girl is Chelsie from Orem. Pretty sweet.

So Dan and I go rock climbing all the time. He bought me a harness for my birthday last year and we have gone a lot this summer. There are tons of places to climb only a few minutes from our house up Logan canyon. But we never take pictures of it! So we finally took some climbing pics when we went this week. I love the mountains!
Mike and Jake (Mike's roommate) went with us.

Time for a trim!

Well Danny has not cut his hair since before our wedding in May! He has just been letting it grow and get shaggy all summer! He has really cute curls, but the hair was getting pretty long. I have been trying to get him to at least trim it a little and he finally decided to do it yesterday. It may or may not have something to do with the fact that Russell M. Nelson is coming to release his dad next week. :) Anyway, he got the haircut and of course he looks great! Although it was a little painful, everything turned out okay.

Here are some before and after shots This is just a really cute picture of me and Addy. She's a doll.

I want a puppy!

Since we first got a dog about 4 years ago (a cute little Poodle named Daisy), my mom has completely changed. She has gone from an animal despising cold-hearted woman, to a puppy-loving sucker. Anyway, our cute Daisy died last summer and my mom has talked about buying another puppy. She gave in and bought Ollie on Saturday! He is so darling and I wanted to bring him back up to Logan with us! He is such a good puppy and I just love him to death! He's cuddly and tiny and sweet. Getting him made me really really want to get a puppy for us! It gave me even more motivation to hopefully get a house next year and then we can get a puppy too! I love him! Totally precious!

He loves to follow us and he just runs around wherever we go!

Jackson Hole-Round Two!

We went to Jackson Hole to run the river one last time before the summer is over. We went once back in June and had a blast. We also went about a month ago but I didn't go on the river that time. We drove up Friday night with my sister Steph and her friend Scott. Mike was nice and let us crash in his nice trailer so we didn't have to sleep in the cold! We went down the river in a small raft with us four and Mike and Jerrica. It was a blast and the small raft made it even more exciting. We hit some good rapids and had a great time! We went into Jackson that evening and wandered around and had dinner. Then we drove back to Logan Saturday night. It was a quick trip but really fun. Standing under the famous elk antler arch. Pretty amazing how many antlers there were!

Here we are hanging out after the river. It was great weather-not too hot, but still nice!

Dan my handyman

So I drive a wonderful little 2001 Ford Focus. It gets great gas mileage and has actually been quite wonderful until almost a year ago when it started breaking down all the time. We (and by "we" I mean my mom before Dan and I were married) have put a lot of money into repairs in the last year, and we decided we would try to sell it if it breaks down again. Lo and behold, we had some strange problems starting last week and we took it in to get checked out. They said the spark plugs needed to be changed and they quoted us almost $200 for it. Dan was sure he could do it himself, so we paid the $45 for them to tell us what was wrong, then Dan went and bought the supplies and did it himself! I was very proud and it saved us a lot of money. What a man! Working on the car.
