Here we go

I’m just going to post a billion pictures of our trip because I want to. I’m going to split it into a few different posts as well, but here we go…

DSC00206

JetBlue has small TVs on the back of every seat and if you know Dan, he LOVES tv so he was so so happy. I loved watching HGTV as well.

This is when we finally got to our ship in Tampa. It was warm but rainy the day we left. Luckily it cleared up!

DSC00210DSC00226

We went to karaoke and loved watching people live out their fantasies on the stage. It was seriously hilarious.

Below Dan started his gorge-fest. Gross.

DSC00217

We had to get a soda card and I loved having unlimited Diet Coke! But it tasted a little different and I just couldn’t figure out why!

DSC00265

The first of our cute towel animals from our steward.

Dan absolutely loved going on our balcony and watching the ocean. He was transfixed by it.

DSC00260

Because it was so windy the first two days, our stop in Grand Cayman got cancelled (so sad!). The ship was also rocking a lot and tons of people (including us) got sick. Yucka. So we just layed out for awhile and caught some rays.

Our next stop (our first stop because the first was cancelled) was Roatan, Honduras. It was gorgeous and amazing!

DSC00286DSC00290DSC00293

We had breakfast brought to our room almost every morning and we ate on the balcony!

DSC00291DSC00287

We decided to have a beach day here so we just went to the beach close to the port and it was so pretty! We rented snorkel gear and enjoyed lots of sunshine.

DSC00294DSC00301DSC00313DSC00304DSC00306

The water was so warm and so blue! I was just floating on my stomach with my face in the water and breathing through the snorkel. It was weirdly relaxing and I loved it.

We had a quick lunch right by the beach and their Diet Coke was Coca Cola light. It was yummy and Dan was obsessed with the Coke because it tasted a little different.

Enjoying my book on the beach.

We had a blast in Roatan! More pics of the rest of the trip to come soon….

  • Eating termites (good protein and minty tasting!)
  • Visiting Mayan ruins
  • Lots of beaches
  • SUN
  • Snorkeling

  • Shopping

And more!

Hello Christmas

I love decorating for Christmas and since I saved my Hobby Lobby birthday gift card, I used some of it to buy some more Christmas décor this year!

Here are some pics of our house decked out for Christmas. It totally changes the feeling in the house and it just feels so cozy and wonderful!

DSC00168

I love our small, cheap tree. I got a great deal on it before we were married but I think I managed to fill it out and make it look pretty good considering that it’s kind of a scrawny tree!

DSC00169DSC00171

Most or all of the ornaments and ribbon are from the dollar store (I love that place…). I added some strips of burlap because I really like the texture. Check me out in the reflection of the ornament Smile.

DSC00173DSC00174

I love the traditional red and gold and sparkles. Next year, we might get another tree for our living room and I want to do some different-lime green maybe??

DSC00175DSC00193

My willow tree nativity. I want to get more to add to it, but I still love it for now.

DSC00195

I made these cute ornament wreaths last year and they were so easy!

DSC00200

I added a lot more to the banister garland this year. I wanted it to be fuller so I added red and gold berries, gold pinecones, red and gold ribbon and a few sparkly snowflakes.

DSC00203DSC00199DSC00176

I also made these Joy candlesticks last year.

DSC00179DSC00180DSC00182DSC00184DSC00185

Santa is hiding on top of the cupboards. My three year old nephew saw him and his mom said, “Santa is always watching…” You’re welcome Julie Smile

DSC00187DSC00188DSC00191

I go these cute little guys on Black Friday for $20 for the both of them! The cord is driving my absolutely batty but I haven’t fixed it so it’s more hidden yet….

DSC00192

I made this stocking holder last year and I love it! We don’t have a fireplace (sad), but maybe we’ll get one of the fake ones for next year because I still think those are pretty great!

That is our house all Christmas-fied and we love it! We fly to Florida tomorrow night for our cruise and we can’t wait! I’ll be back next week bronzed, glowing, and rejuvenated…

Sun, sand and surf

In only 5 more days, we will be enjoying a cold drink in the sun…

drink_beach

I’ll probably have a diet coke instead of a fruity alcoholic beverage, but you get the picture…we will also be doing some fun adventures and WE CAN’T WAIT!

Remember when it used to be fall?

DSC00022

We went to Idaho at the beginning of November to see our nephew get baptized. There were a ton of people there and it was still gorgeous weather.

DSC00027

We had a lot of fun playing in the leaves of the huge trees in their yard!

DSC00036

I also had fun using my new camera that I got for my birthday to take pictures of my super cute nieces and nephews!

DSC00041DSC00046

I love how much Ryan loves that stick.

DSC00054DSC00065

Sarah was super girl and it was the cutest thing ever. She ran around the backyard like a super hero and just wanted me to take pictures and videos of her.

DSC00034

The colors were amazing! I couldn’t believe how gorgeous the trees were, and luckily there was tons of leaves to play in!

DSC00108

We had a blast and it was exciting to see Alex get baptized and wonderful to see all the family there to support him. Sometimes I wish it were fall again…
