Jackson Hole-Round Two!
We went to Jackson Hole to run the river one last time before the summer is over. We went once back in June and had a blast. We also went about a month ago but I didn't go on the river that time. We drove up Friday night with my sister Steph and her friend Scott. Mike was nice and let us crash in his nice trailer so we didn't have to sleep in the cold! We went down the river in a small raft with us four and Mike and Jerrica. It was a blast and the small raft made it even more exciting. We hit some good rapids and had a great time! We went into Jackson that evening and wandered around and had dinner. Then we drove back to Logan Saturday night. It was a quick trip but really fun.
Standing under the famous elk antler arch. Pretty amazing how many antlers there were!

Dan my handyman
So I drive a wonderful little 2001 Ford Focus. It gets great gas mileage and has actually been quite wonderful until almost a year ago when it started breaking down all the time. We (and by "we" I mean my mom before Dan and I were married) have put a lot of money into repairs in the last year, and we decided we would try to sell it if it breaks down again. Lo and behold, we had some strange problems starting last week and we took it in to get checked out. They said the spark plugs needed to be changed and they quoted us almost $200 for it. Dan was sure he could do it himself, so we paid the $45 for them to tell us what was wrong, then Dan went and bought the supplies and did it himself! I was very proud and it saved us a lot of money. What a man!

California Trip!
Dan and I went with my mom to California last week to visit my family. My mom grew up in Stockton, California and my grandparents and all my family on that side still lives in Stockton and Lodi. We actually drove to Las Vegas then flew from Vegas to Stockton. It was a round-about trip, but it was a cheap flight and got us a little more time with the family. We had a great time seeing everyone and they could finally meet Danny! My cousin blessed his baby and it was so great to be there for that since we're usually not around for that kind of stuff. We also went to San Francisco with my aunt and uncle and had a blast. It was a great trip and a ton of fun!
Getting off our plane in Stockton. It was a tiny airport so there was no runway or whatever, we just walked down a ramp off the plane!
We went with my mom to some small mining towns called Jackson and Sutter Creek (where gold was first discovered). We found this cute Serbian church and got to go inside and see the guy painting these amazing frescoes on the walls. It was awesome!
We stopped at a chocolate factory and I found this chocolate diet plan. Yum.
This is in San Franscisco at the beach! Danny loves the ocean so of course he ran right out even though it was cold! He didn't pay attention and his pants got soaked!
This is called Lombard Street in San Francisco and since the streets are so steep, they made this one curve. We drove down it and it was pretty fun and cool.

San Francisco! The Golden Gate Bridge

We got out and walked about halfway across the bridge. It was sunny and beautiful but still kind of chilly and really windy!

My mom's hair got a little windblown at the beach. I love this picture.
Does anyone recognize these houses?! It's from Full House! The opening part where they're sitting on the grass is at this park. Fun fun.
This is Chinatown. We wandered around and Dan found some candy and a drink that he loved on his mission.

At the end of the day, we went to Fisherman's wharf and had a delicious dinner. We had fresh fish and it was so good! Dan and I walked down to Pier 39 and saw all the seals on the dock.

Here is a video of the seals at the pier.
The newest baby in the family-Reilly Jonathan Green!
Here is our family after the baby blessing.
Uncle Keith and Aunt Karen (my mom's brother and his wife).
Us with my cousin Kallie and her husband Aaron.
This is such a precious picture of my gramps with his great-grandsons, Reilly and Jacob.

Mini Golf and the Preston Rodeo
So there is this fun place called the "Logan Celebration Center" and it's basically like a tiny Lagoon. But they have some really big really fun looking rides and they're cheap. They have a skycoaster type thing where you "fly" over the park, and a straight drop ride, and a sling shot swing and a bunch of other cool stuff. The rides are pretty sweet. Anyway, we went to go ride one of them and play mini golf. We were all pumped, but the sling shot swing was broken! Dangit, we were really bummed. But we're going to go another time. We played mini golf and had a fun time. Well, I had fun. Dan doesn't like to lose, and I killed him at mini golf. Hopefully he still loves me. :)
Saturday we went with Shelley and Brian to the "Famous Preston Night Rodeo". For all of you who don't know, Preston, Idaho is where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed and it's a small town near Logan. Mostly farmers live there and they have this big rodeo every year. We went and had a blast. We ate at a pizza place and watched the parade outside, then went to the rodeo.

Our cute rodeo outfits.
Shelley and I at the rodeo.
These sheep are hilarious. They had mutton bustin' where little kids rode the sheep and it was so funny. The sheep run around in a group and as soon as they see another one, they all run up to it so it's in the group. The sheep are all panicked until they get in the group. It's weird.
